Enterprise education: pre-service further education teachers' impressions and aspirations

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the attitudes and impressions pre-service Further Education teachers towards enterprise education. It also looks at potential impact on their future teaching practices aspirations. This study builds literature in area by bringing a teacher education focus providing views from underserved further sector. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative research approach was used evaluate teachers' understanding towards, Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 students final year an initial degree. Findings emerged constant comparative analysis interview transcripts. These findings indicate that exposure greatly increased its importance relevance, while encouraging recognise benefits incorporating into classrooms future.
